Hendon Horticultural Society & Gardening Club

We are calling on all members to take part, and support this one-off special event as a way of promoting the Society. We are hoping for some good publicity from the appearance of Joe Swift, our celebrity guest. Members at the October last meeting voted against making this a competitive show. So there are no rules - you can please yourself! There will be no “classes” as such, (with 2 exceptions) just themed groupings. List of suggestions: Displays of bulbs, cut or growing, bought or home grown, attractively arranged in a vase, dish, bowl or basket. Single bulb grown in water (clear glass container) Vase of mixed spring flowers & foliage Vase of any flowering spring shrubs Special Spring or Easter themed flower arrangements Bowl of floating flower heads Decorated eggs NB The Photographic & Domestic sections will be judged. Photographic subject: A Spring/Easter still life Domestic Entries: 5 decorated Butterfly cakes 5 Chocolate Nests Lemon Drizzle cake (using recipe provided) Victoria Sandwich (using recipe provided) The flower arrangements will have the best entry chosen by public vote.
